Lamb and Rattler
Lamb and Rattler is a weekly newsletter covering how to properly understand the concepts of Christianity and freedom and actually apply them to our daily lives so that we can make the most of the time we have been given on this earth.
“I know Lamb and Rattler is good because I can’t stop thinking about it.”
~ Nate Lamb
The publication covers current events and how we can think about them in the context of Christianity and freedom. Importantly, we also cover the practical applications of the concepts of Christianity, freedom, or both together and how we can use them to live better lives.
Lamb and Rattler is for two groups of people:
People who already embrace and understand the virtues of Christianity and freedom and want to understand them at a deeper level, effectively apply them to their lives, and cut out the shallow, partisan political noise that too often poisons these invaluable ideas
People who do not understand why someone would find Christianity and freedom to be virtuous or good models for living our lives, but also sense that the currently popular ideologies are lacking when it comes to finding true meaning and fulfillment in life
I’ve written a manifesto that goes into more detail about the philosophy behind what I write, why I write about it, what I actually mean when I use the terms Christianity and freedom, and how you can use it to create an ideal life.
My name is Ken Rogers. I’m a software developer who is obsessed with finding out how the world works and how to mold an ideal life around those facts.
That obsession with how things work is what originally led me to coding software and websites for a living, but it has also driven a much deeper desire to understand the fundamental driving force behind the world and humanity.
And, crucially, how to actually apply that thinking to our daily lives to create the most fulfilling, impactful lives possible. The application is the big sticking point, at least for me.
I am obsessed with finding the best ways to think about the world but often struggle to translate that into meaningful action in my life.
This publication is as much for me as it is for you, the reader. Through it, I hope to find the best ways to not only think about the world and how it works but how to use that knowledge to improve our state of being, and most importantly, share that with as many people as possible.
One of the core tenets of Lamb & Rattler is the free exchange, discussion, and criticism of ideas. My hope is that I write for people who both disagree and agree with me and can help create a civil discussion where we can determine together the best ways to live and impact the world.
Lamb and Rattler is currently free for all subscribers. The membership gets you a weekly letter focusing on current events and how to think about them in the context of Christianity and freedom and how to apply these ideas to our daily lives.
Eventually, I’ll be switching to a paid publication. But I want to grow my audience of readers first so I can discover what the most valuable paid publication would look like and deliver the most value possible.
My dream is to be able to write about these things full-time, and this is the first step to doing so.
This goal is obviously never-ending and we can never stop improving, but the driving force behind Lamb and Rattler is to help myself and readers move closer to living as fulfilled and impactful of a life as possible by understanding and applying the virtues of Christianity and freedom.
